  3. NOTES:  This unit has 8 NAMS
  4.         The ESN prefix is 162 decimal & A5 hex.
  5.         Technophone: 516-576-2000
  6.  
  7. This unit requires a security code to access programing mode, this code is
  8. based on the unit's electronic serial number.  The hardware serial number
  9. on the phone is the ESN suffix, if not already known.
  10.  
  11. Take the last six digits of the ESN, rearange and subtract from 999999 to
  12. get the security code:
  13.  
  14.          Original sequence: 1 2 3 4 5 6
  15.  
  16.          New sequence:      6 2 4 5 1 3
  17.  
  18. For example if the ESN is 16200002164 take 002164 and rearange to get
  19. 401602.  This number is then subtracted from 999999 to get a security code
  20. of 598397.
  21.  
  22. Alternativly call 1-800-251-1414, ask for technical support and give them
  23. the ESN.  They will convert it for you!
  24.  
  25. Having obtained the security code continue with the following steps:
  26.  
  27. 1.  Turn phone on by pressing RCL.
  28.  
  29. NOTE:
  30.     If phone powers up locked enter: FOUR DIGIT LOCK CODE, RCL to unlock.
  31.     If lock code is unknown install new code by pressing:
  32.     * SIX DIGIT SEC CODE, NEW LOCK CODE *
  33.     You can disable the auto lock feature by entering:
  34.     * SIX DIGIT SEC CODE * *
  35.  
  36. 2.  Enter # S S S S S S # # 9 5 3 7 3 9 # up arrow # 9 9 # # (where SSSSSS
  37.     is the security code).
  38.  
  39. 3.  Turn phone off by pressing the up arrow key and LOCK.
  40.  
  41. 4.  Turn phone on again and it should display "Which NAM?", if it does not
  42.     review the security code and try again.
  43.  
  44. 5.  Enter the NAM you want to program, NAMs are numbered 0 through 7,
  45.     followed by the * key.
  46.  
  47. 6.  The first data entry will appear.
  48.  
  49. 7.  Press the UP ARROW key to store and increment the step number.
  50.  
  51. 8.  Press SND after step 07 when display reads "Save NAM?" to store the new
  52.     data, phone will revert to "Which NAM?" at which point you can press
  53.     END to complete and exit, or select another NAM.

  68. Entry 07 is a convienience feature to distinguish between NAMs, you may
  69. enter a three letter abbreviation to identify each NAM.  For instance enter
  70. SFO for San Francisco.  Use the letters on the keypad, each time you press
  71. a key the display will alternate.  For example the "2" key will scroll "2",
  72. "A", "B", "C".  Press STO when the letter you want appears on the display.
  73. To store SFO enter 7777 STO, 3333 STO, 6666 STO.
